MySpace and EA Mobile have pledged their support for Microsoft’s next generation smartphones. The two companies have jointly announced their plans to deliver Windows mobile phone apps via the Windows Marketplace.
Other companies to make the same pledge include: Facebook, Gameloft, The Associated Press, AccuWeather.com, Glu Mobile, CNBC, Handmark, Developer One Mobile Software, Pandora, Magmic Games, Kinoma, and many more. A broad spectrum of mobile application such as social networking, gaming, and media utilities is covered by these companies.
Microsoft has also put a lot of work into securing partnerships with the Design Museum London and Council of Fashion Designers of America, in order to offer users a variety of free designer themes to help them express their personal style on Windows phones. Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi will be the first in a series of designers to create exclusive themes, including color palettes and wallpaper. Other designers will be announced in the coming months.
Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, said: "We know it's the experiences that mobile phones can offer to people that really matter. The continued support from the world's top mobile operators, manufacturers and developers means you can choose the Windows phone, applications and experiences that are right for you. We're excited about what we can offer on Windows phones combined with our new mobile services."
