According to data from ABI Research, Cisco holds over half of the enterprise access point market, but Aruba, Motorola, and HP are all keen to gain market share.
With this market expected to reach 11.6 million units by the end of 2015, there is likely to be strong competition.
Competition has been boosted by HP’s acquisition of 3Com in April and the subsequent integration of 3Com’s network switching, routing and security solutions with HP ProCurve solutions.
Educations and healthcare are expected to be growth areas for WLAN equipment.
ABI Research’s report, “Wi-Fi Equipment Market Data,” is updated quarterly.
